Who this notice covers
This notice covers the use of this Ternwick Technical website by candidates, employer contacts and other enquirers. Ternwick Technical is responsible for deciding how information submitted through these forms is used for its recruitment service. For privacy questions, email info@ternwicktechnical.co.uk or use the contact form and include “Privacy enquiry” in your message.
Information you provide
Our forms collect your name, email, optional telephone number, role, location, optional salary information and message. Employers also provide a company name. Candidates may upload a CV containing their employment history, qualifications and skills. We record the submission date, source page and acknowledgement of this notice.
Please avoid sending passports, bank details, National Insurance numbers, health details or other sensitive information through the general forms. If specific information is needed later, we will explain why and how it should be provided.
How and why we use it
We use enquiry details to respond, understand hiring requirements, discuss suitable permanent roles and manage recruitment introductions. Our basis is our legitimate interest in providing a recruitment service and handling the enquiry you initiated. Where appropriate, we also process information to take steps you request before a contract, perform a contract or meet a legal obligation.
We do not use your registration to subscribe you to unrelated marketing. If we rely on consent for a separate purpose, we will ask specifically and explain how to withdraw it.
Sharing and storage
Submissions and CVs are held in restricted website storage using ChatGPT Sites and its Cloudflare hosting infrastructure. Technical service providers may process information to operate and protect the service. CVs are not published on this website or available through public download links.
We will discuss a proposed introduction with you before sharing your CV with a prospective employer. We may also disclose information where legally required. If processing involves a transfer outside the UK, applicable data protection requirements and transfer safeguards must be addressed; you can contact us for details about processing arrangements.
Agency Desk administration
Approved administrators can manage recruitment records and private supporting documents in the Agency Desk. Administrator accounts, protected password credentials, session records and an activity history are used to control access and maintain the service. The owner manages administrator access.
How long we keep information
We keep information only while it is needed for the enquiry, an active recruitment relationship, or relevant legal and record-keeping requirements. The period depends on your engagement with us, whether a placement proceeds and any records we need to retain. Contact us if you no longer want to be considered for opportunities or would like your information reviewed for deletion.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access or correct your information, request deletion, restrict its use or receive certain information in a portable form. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent.
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, including being considered for future roles. Email info@ternwicktechnical.co.uk or submit a privacy enquiry to exercise a right. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. The ICO explains your data protection rights.
Website information and decisions
The hosting service may process technical request information for delivery, security and reliability. See our Cookie Policy. This website does not automatically make recruitment decisions or rank candidates.
Updates
We may update this notice as our service changes. The date above identifies the current version.
